An elephant in the garden

An elephant in the garden
Michael Morpurgo

After the bombing of Dresden, 1945, with their home and city destroyed, a mother (Mutti), teenage daughter(Elizabeth), and son(Karli) head off to refuge while facing all the obstacles in their way. This is all hard enough but they have another obstacle, an elephant called Marlene.

(This is the blurb I wrote for it for a homework task.)
I encourage people to read this book. Mainly those who like books that involve animals or books that have to do with history (even if it is fictional.) This book has a few pictures and I would say is mildly challenging for the average reader. I really liked this book because it always has the reader hooked.
